Chief Watch Officer Dale, a NPC met at Sanktheim Gate
Chief Warrant Officer Dale is a soldier serving in the Royal Army.
He's stationed at and in charge of Sanktheim Gate checkpoint separating the cities Zeiss and Grancel and can usually be found in the checkpoint's office.
His garrison's main duty is to guard the castle and the streets of the royal city, though when the region is sealed off as a result of the attack on Central Factory, the troops at Sanktheim end up having to serve as a semi-border patrol as well, denying anyone who lacks proper authorisation entry into the Grancel region. When the order from the higher-ups to call off the inspections unexpectedly arrives, Dale is bothered and confused, though he tries not to show it.
New orders arrive just before Estelle and Joshua set out for Grancel though, involving the story that the "terrorists" may have disguised themselves as bracers, requiring the detainment of anyone who claims to be one. Dale comes walking into the main hall the very moment Estelle and Joshua are trying to pass through and due to their inability to explain their purpose in the capital, Dale threatens to detain them. The situation is defused when Professor Alba appears and vouches for the two bracers. Dale apologizes for the inconvenience afterwards.
While initially having a lot of faith in Colonel Richard and the other higher-ups, Dale starts having his doubts as the birthday celebration comes closer and more and more commands are passed down to the garrison, making him wonder if the army leadership has trouble locating the terrorists and in addition to that, the fact that the Intelligence Division has been recruiting lots of strong soldiers makes him frown, wondering why an agency whose main purpose is the gathering of information would need so many fierce warriors to begin with.
